Doo-Bop Club

Doo-Bop Club is a jazz club located in the centre of Vasa. During the spring and autumn semesters we offer live music of very high quality, at least every saturday. On the stage you will see local, national and international acts playing music of very many different styles, including all kinds of jazz, soul, funk, blues, fusion, latin, country, pop, rock..... We strive to offer you some of the best live music that you don't hear too much of in other bars and nightclubs. All in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
In the bar you can buy beer, cider, lonkero (finnish long drink), soft drinks and coffee/tea to a reasonable price.

Doo-Bop Club is happy to announce the programme for this year's Konstens Natt (Night of the Arts) event tonight, Aug 12th, 2010. Four great bands playing different styles of music will be entertaining you from 20.30 to 00.30! Doors open 19.30, free entry. See you there!

The spring season 2010 has come to its end, with an amazing gig on May 22nd by Hot Club de Finlande feat. Vitali Imereli & Andreas Öberg. At that concert we also celebrated The Doo-Bop Club's 15th anniversary, and the 75th birthday of our long time supporter and honorary member Mr. Seppo Lemponen. Thank you everyone who made that a memorable evening - our visitors, our staff, the musicians and sponsors. Let's hope the club lives on for at least 15 years more!
We will soon start planning the programme for the fall season, and for the Konstens Natt / Taiteiden Yö / Night of the Arts event that will take place in Vaasa on Aug 12th. More info on this will come later.
